Today Jon and I drove up Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. They say it's one of the prettiest drives to see fall leaves- unfortunately for us, we made it there about 2 weeks too late. Most of the leaves had already fallen off the trees up on Skyline Drive, but farther down, we could still see the pretty colors. We went South to North in our attempts to avoid all of the Washingtonians going North to South (the road almost parallels the western Virginia border and is about 100 miles long- we only drove about 60 miles on it). By the time we arrived at the end at Front Royal, Va., we were ready to make our way home. We had fun setting the timer on our camera to get a shot with both of us in it, and singing along to John Denver. Posted by Picasa
