Belated Christmas Post

Ok, so we were slackers in posting a Christmas message, but seriously, we tried about a month ago and had trouble with Blogger so we gave up. And then i tried again this morning, and well, it seems to be working ok for me.

So this is the Stromberg clan on Christmas day. Pre-Dreamgirls- which wasn't a hit with our family.

We were able to spend a few days in St. Louis before the whole fam treked to Vegas for Chris and Amanda's wedding. They just happened to be getting married on our anniversary (Dec. 27)- I think they were just trying to steal our thunder (just kidding!). This is our "what?! we've been married for 3 years" picture. Always a classic.

It was actually really nice to go to another wedding to celebrate our own marriage. Plus we got to eat god food that night at the reception and we didn't have to pay for any of it!!! :)

We spent another couple of days in Vegas and then Jon and I headed off to Portland to visit his side of the family for about a week. We do this every year and we always say "this will be the last time we go to both places for Christmas!" and then the next year we do the exact same thing again. Something about family that makes you do these things.

The highlight for me in Portland was going the Tillamook Cheese Factory. So it was a long drive in the pouring down rain to get there and then the "tour" itself- which is really just self-guided, took no more than 30 minutes, and that is on the long side. But it was worth it to see how they make and package cheese- and then to the get the free samples at the end- definately worth it.
And of course, we had to stop and get ice cream at the ice cream counter on the way out. Because you can't go to Tillamook without getting ice cream.
So that was our little Christmas vacation in a nutshell. A lot of flying, a lot of delays in the airport, but no lost luggage. Success.
